Mobile Cósmica

A truly unique and intricate mobile, handcrafted from fique (succulent fiber) paper. Fique plants are first grown on-site at the Taller de Papel of Fundación San Lorenzo in Barichara, Colombia and then manually processed into sheets of paper. From there, artisans create individual origami pieces that are then strung on the mobile. Strings are also made from fique and the base is made from bejuco, a vine-like branch.
